THE DIFFERENCE:
  • This on-line application is different than anything else available.
  • Cheaper- The cost savings is multi-faceted.  There are no charges for no records found, the first list of records is always only $1 and you only incur the remainder of the State fee once you choose the “full record” icon.
  • Flexible- You can search the system by any means necessary.  You may run partial names or partial number; search by partial address or anything in a general area.
  • There are no sign up fees or monthly minimums.
  • Easy to use- The interface is simple and self explanatory with all information organized, decoded and formatted in an easy fashion.
  • Details- Our records have information decoded that is not available from other sources such as dates the record changed, the date the address was updated, whether re-instatement fees are required and if they have been paid.

Uses:
    • Pre-screening- we provide easy, reliable and timely access to the driving record.
    • Locating people- by having all applicable dates a record was updated you can easily tell how old an address is and if it is a new lead.
    • Identifying individuals and companies- By using our flexible queries you can clarify name spellings and identifying information.
    • Clarifying addresses- There are few available sources to fix a bad address.  By using our wildcard capabilities you can clean and fix street numbers and name spellings.
    • Suspensions- The State requires very accurate information when suspending driver and vehicle privileges.  You can use this system to correct an questionable information before submitting to the State.

Performing Searches
  • Use the Flexibility!!!!!!
  • LESS IS BETTER!
  • Name searching -Unless you have a very common name like Smith or Jones you can run statewide or use the first 3 digits of the zip code which will give a broader metropolitan search.
  • Name and date of birth or name and year of birth are often enough.  I.e. John Smith, born in 1972, there are only 11 in the entire State.
  • Remember, names like Mike and Michael require two searches or the last name and just MI*, but names that abbreviate similar to the original like Matt and Matthew will hit both by just running Matt.
  • Addresses- The US Postal Service numbering plan is amazing.  Trust it and run the street number and street name statewide, without city name or zip code. There are few addresses in the State that match. This eliminates confusion on streets that run across city lines.

9
…cont.
  • The State normally takes 10-20 days to process a Title or Registration.
    • There are no letters I, O or Q in VIN numbers and MO does not use the letters I, U, V or Q in standard license plates.
  • Addresses and names have errors. Streets can be in neighboring cities or zip codes. People could be using a different license numbers.
  • Any typographic error by you or in the record, as on file at the State, may result in no record found.  By limiting your search criteria you can insure finding the record you are looking for.

Driver Searches
  • Driver Search Tips
      • Driver's license number or partial driver's license number, followed by an asterisk, will yield more possibilities.
      • Social Security Number or partial social security number, followed by an asterisk, will yield more possibilities.
      • Last name only, or partial last name followed by an asterisk, will yield more possibilities.
      • Date of Birth may be entered as MM/DD/YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY, by only the year such as 1974, or by month & year of birth such as 05/1974.
      • Name and partial date of birth have been found to result in the highest yields.

        • Note that the State has multiple records in their system on certain individuals, therefore a specific license number search is not the best search criteria.
13
Driver Searches
  • Address Search Tips
      • A street directional, such as N for North or S for South should always be used or use an asterisk instead of a directional indicator.
      • Thoroughfares, such as Ave. or St. for Avenue and Street, should not be used.
      • Limiting the street name to a partial street name will yield better results.
        • For example:  “1141 Hidden” will yield more results than “1141 Hidden Valley Ranch Road”
      • Search with or without a zip code. City names can be replaced with zip codes, or vice versa. Partial zip codes may also be used.
      • Cities such as St. Louis may be performed using any combination of Saint (Saint, St, or St.).
14
